Made in and around Savannakhet in 2023, Laos portrays a city that remains closely connected to agriculture and its surrounding rural landscape. Weathered civic architecture, religious spaces and historical remnants coexist with intense colour and a restrained urban rhythm. This contrast is central to the series, where its unique political situation and traditional background creates a sort of colorful brutalism.
