Abstracts isolates the formal structures of the street: lines, colour fields, reflections, surfaces and fragments of architecture. Removed from conventional narrative, the city becomes a shifting arrangement of geometry and light. The series represents the most purely formal side of the practice while remaining dependent on chance and close observation.
